How to clean green spots in faucets?

I noticed that the part of the faucets where water comes out has some green spots. I wonder what they are and any suggestions for cleaning it? Thanks.

The green spots are caused by corrosion of the brass which is the metal used under the shiny finish of the faucet. The best way to remove the corrosion and not the shiny finish is to apply a mixture of lemon juice and salt. This will also clean brass objects if they don't have a protective coating. Catsup will also do the job just as it cleans copper but will be slower.

:Your faucet may be losing it's finish. I just noticed the same with mine and will soon have to replace all of the fixtures, Not happy about it either.

mold and mildew ...baking soda and vinagar
